A wall-mounted hood with a pull-out steam shield comprises a frame (2), a ventilating unit (3) contained in the frame (2), a steam shield (4) designed to move from a rest position to an open position and vice versa, a first hinge body (5) rigidly joined to the frame (2), a second hinge body (6) rigidly joined to the steam shield (4) and a third hinge body (7) operable between the first (5) and second (7) hinge bodies, the third hinge body (7) being contained in the first hinge body (5) and being adapted to move, in a direction (X), between a first position, in which it attaches the second hinge body (6) to the first hinge body (5), such that the steam shield (4) remains in the open position, and a second position in which it allows the second hinge body (6) to rotate about an axis parallel to said direction (X), such that the steam shield (4) reaches the rest position.
