Synthesis of nanoparticular gene carrier systems based on chitosan

摘要

Novel biocompatible compounds of chitosan (MChi) as well as amine modified - reducible forms (ARMChi) thereof for use as gene carrier systems are disclosed. The present invention also pertains to nanoparticle forms of the chitosan compounds according to the present invention which provide higher efficiency and lower toxicity for transfection of genes in a biotechnological therapy.
