The invention relates to a device for automated application and introduction of at least one allergen test solution onto and into the skin of a body part of a person to be tested within the context of a prick test comprising a holder for the detachable receptacle of a puncture means for puncturing the skin; a receptacle for a body part; a drive for moving the holder out of a position in which the puncture means is spaced apart from the skin surface of the body part in a feed direction which leads to a contact of the puncture means that penetrates the skin of the body part; and a pressure limiter which is connected to the drive and causes the drive to end a movement of the holder in the feed direction when due to the movement of the holder in the feed direction a contact between the puncture means and the skin is obtained and a pressure which exceeds a predetermined value is reached. By means of such a device allergen test solutions can, for the first time, within the context of carrying out prick tests, be applied to the skin of a person to be tested in an automated step in a reliable and reproducible manner, and, if possible, also in a clearly defined manner with regard to a subsequent evaluation.
