PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently extracting polymer polysaccharide having molecular weight of 10,000 or more from licorice root.;SOLUTION: A method according to the present invention includes extracting polysaccharides from licorice root in hot water of higher than 100°C and lower than 120°C under pressure. The method includes extracting the polysaccharides having molecular weight of 10,000 or more from the licorice root. The method includes extracting the polysaccharides from the licorice root with sealed state.
