PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refractory shape determination method of a cupola pot and a refractory formation method of a cupola pot, which can suppress damage of a refractory of a cupola pot by considering an influence of a remaining molten iron.;SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a determination method of a refractory shape of a bottom part of a cupola pot includes a step of measuring an amount of a remaining molten iron in the cupola pot after insertion of the molten iron a plurality of times, a step of determining an installation region of a refractory of a cupola pot bottom part based on a distribution of the remaining molten iron and a shape of the cupola pot, a step of measuring an inclination angle of a center axis of the cupola pot hanged by a trunnion after insertion of the molten iron a plurality of times, and a step of determining a refractory height on the installation region based on a distribution of inclination angles and the shape of the cupola pot. Further, another invention relates to a formation method of a refractory of a bottom part of the cupola pot includes a step of determining a refractory shape of a cupola bottom part using the refractory shape determination method of the cupola pot, and a step of forming a refractory of the above refractory shape by installing a plurality of pieces of bricks, in which in the above formation step, a plurality of bricks are installed such that an orientation direction of an aggregate is in parallel with a center axis of the cupola pot.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2017,JPO&INPIT
