PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high strength stainless steel material having a two-phase structure of a ferrite phase and a martensite phase, suppressing reduction of strength, improving processability and further suppressing cost.;SOLUTION: There is provided a high strength stainless steel material excellent in processability, having a composition containing, by mass%, C:0.03 to 0.15%, Si:0.1 to 2.0%, Mn:0.1 to 4.0%, P:0.04% or less, S:0.03% or less, Ni:0.01 to 4.0%, Cr:10 to 20%, N:0.12% or less, B:0.003 to 0.01% and containing at least one of Ti:0.05 to 0.2%, Al:0.05 to 0.2% and V:0.05 to 0.2% and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities, the stainless steel material having a metallic structure of 2 phases of a ferrite phase and a martensite phase and satisfying γmax(%) calculated by the (1) formula of 50 to 85.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2017,JPO&INPIT
