PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vein visualization device and a vein visualization method that allow an appropriate puncture to a vein in a living body to be prompted.;SOLUTION: A vein visualization device 1 includes an imaging part 2, and a projection part 3 and a display part 5, which are an image output part. The imaging part 2 takes a first image by the detection of a reflection light in a first wavelength region from a living body. The imaging part 2 takes a second image by the detection of a reflection light in a second wavelength region from the living body. The imaging part 2 includes image sensors 15 and 16 which are a first image sensor and a second image sensor, a first wavelength selection part, and a second wavelength selection part. The first wavelength selection part causes a light in the first wavelength region to selectively advance to the first image sensor and the second image sensor.
