PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain compactness of a surface for preventing invasion of water, carbonic acid gas or chloride ion or the like from a concrete surface, causing deterioration of a concrete structure with the lapse of time.SOLUTION: There is provided a method of coating a concrete surface with a silicate solution 12 hours after coating with a calcium salt solution, the coated amount of the calcium salt solution is 0.05-0.4 mol per 1 mof concrete surface in terms of calcium ion and the coated amount of the silicate solution is 0.4-0.9 mol per 1 mof concrete in terms of silicate ion.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
