PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active carbon fiber for removing free chlorine capable of showing excellent free chlorine removal performance even under high-speed water conduction; and to provide a treatment method of free chlorine-containing water using the same.;SOLUTION: An active carbon fiber for removing free chlorine has a characteristic in which a cumulative water conduction amount is 180 L or more per gram of the active carbon fiber, until a free chlorine removal rate reaches 80% by conducting free chlorine-containing water (20°C) having a concentration of 2 ppm under water conduction conditions having an average fiber diameter of 0.1-100 μm, an active surface area of 60 m²/g, and a space velocity of 6,000/h.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2017,JPO&INPIT
