PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixed abrasive-grain wire saw to which a more rational design is applied, taking into consideration operational aspects including maintainability, with respect to an arrangement relationship between a work table for holding a workpiece and a dressing stone for dressing a fixed abrasive-grain wire, and a method of dressing the fixed abrasive-grain wire.SOLUTION: The fixed abrasive-grain wire saw includes: a fixed abrasive-grain wire 2; a workpiece supply table 6 provided with a workpiece fixing part 15 for fixing a workpiece W; and a dressing stone 41. Since the fixed abrasive-grain wire 2 is wound between groove rollers 3 to 5, a wire row 30 is formed aligned in a feed direction along the groove rollers, and the dressing stone is fixed adjacent to the workpiece fixing part at an upstream position of the workpiece fixing part in the feed direction on the workpiece supply table.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
