PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection method in which presence of coating of a transparent coating agent in a colored member is inspected, an inspection apparatus thereof, and a manufacturing method of a colored member including the inspection method.SOLUTION: An inspection method comprises: (1) a step of irradiating a colored member being an inspection target with light by a light irradiation device; (2) a step of imaging the inspection target irradiated with light by an imaging apparatus; (3) a step of acquiring color component data of RGB regarding the inspection target from an image acquired by the imaging apparatus; (4) a step of converting color component data of the inspection target into color space data expressed in luminance, saturation and hue; and (5) a step of determining presence of transparent coating agent in the inspection target based on at least one of chromaticity data without coating expressed in saturation and/or hue and chromaticity data with coating expressed in saturation and/or hue, and inspection chromaticity data of the inspection target expressed in saturation and/or hue.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
