PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for installing a clamp-on type ultrasonic flowmeter which is easy to install, and with which it is possible to accurately measure the flow rate of a fluid.;SOLUTION: A method for installing a clamp-on type ultrasonic flowmeter includes: installing a first ultrasonic transducer 101 for injecting a first ultrasonic signal into piping 10 in which a fluid flows; installing a second ultrasonic transducer 102 for injecting a second ultrasonic signal into the piping 10 at a position where the first ultrasonic signal is receivable; applying an acoustic matching coating to the piping 10 and forming an acoustic matching layer 22; and arranging, on the acoustic matching layer 22, an ultrasonic absorption material 21 for absorbing an ultrasonic noise component inside the piping. The acoustic matching layer 22 causes the ultrasonic noise component to permeate from the piping 10 to the ultrasonic absorption material 21.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2017,JPO&INPIT
