ROLE SHARING TYPE PARKING LOT MANAGEMENT METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide techniques for allowing a user of a prepaid parking lot to extend a valid parking time before expiry of the valid parking time on line from outside the parking lot.;SOLUTION: When entering a parking lot, a user inputs a phone number and a vehicle registration number into a ticket machine. The ticket machine sends them to a server. The server registers received information in a memory, and uses the registered phone number to send a portable information terminal of the user a request to the user for confirmation that the registered contents are true. If the registered contents are true, the server receives a confirmation completion message from the user. The server then determines for each user whether a scheduled leaving time is coming soon and, if it is, sends the user a message for notification thereof. Upon receiving from the user a request to extend a valid parking time, the server updates the contents of the memory to reflect contents of the request.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 13;COPYRIGHT: (C)2017,JPO&INPIT
