PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectric conversion polymer sphere which is high in charge separation efficiency and charge transport efficiency and long in charge separation life, and also to provide an optical element having the photoelectric conversion polymer sphere, and a method of manufacturing the photoelectric conversion polymer sphere.SOLUTION: Disclosed is a method of manufacturing a photoelectric conversion polymer sphere which includes the steps of: dissolving electron-donating molecules 11 and electron-accepting molecules 12 into a good solvent to prepare a solution containing the electron-donating molecules and the electron-accepting molecules; and arranging a container whose capacity is smaller than a closed container housing a poor solvent therein and then housing the solution containing the electron-donating molecules and the electron-accepting molecules therein and precipitating a photoelectric conversion polymer sphere 10 of a spherical structure composed of the electron-donating molecules and the electron-accepting molecules into the solution by being left to stand in a constant temperature bath at 25°C for one to seven days.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
