PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the mold powder which solves the operational trouble and problem of inferior quality generating by crystallization of perovskite in a powder slag and enables casting without troubles in the continuous casting of a steel containing Ti of 0.01 mass% or more, and to provide a continuous casting method for the steel using the mold powder.;SOLUTION: The mold powder used for continuous casting of a steel containing Ti of 0.01 mass% or more satisfies a basicity CaO/SiO2 (mass ratio)≥2.0, and comprises by mass, 15 mass% or less (including 0) of SiO2, 15-35 mass% of Al2O3, 20 mass% or less (including 0) of F, 10-20 mass% of (Na2O+Li2O), and the balance of inevitable impurities.;SELECTED DRAWING: None;COPYRIGHT: (C)2017,JPO&INPIT
