PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of an AC rotary machine which can precisely estimate an inertia moment in the AC rotary machine of a sensorless during a normal driving.SOLUTION: A control device of an AC rotary machine estimates an inertia moment J on the basis of a transient torque value τf obtained by performing a torque filter processing F1 to an output torque τ estimated on the basis of a detection current, and a transient acceleration value αf as a value obtained by performing an acceleration filter processing F2 to a rotational speed ω estimated on the basis of the detection current. In the case where the magnitude of transient torque value τf is larger than a torque determination threshold value, and the magnitude of transient acceleration value αf is larger than an acceleration determination threshold value, an update of an estimation value of the inertia moment J is permitted, and the update of estimation value of the inertia moment J is not inhibited in the other case.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
