PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for resuming a spinning process on an air-jet spinning machine.SOLUTION: After the interruption of spinning has occurred, a yarn 5 is guided in a reverse direction through a spinning path to behind a spinning nozzle 4, or the yarn is controlled to be stopped in the spinning path with a yarn end situated behind the spinning nozzle. The yarn end of the yarn 5 is introduced into an outlet opening 41 of the spinning nozzle 4. The yarn 5 is transported by a reverse motion with the spinning nozzle 4 and a feeding device 3 of a sliver 0 to a guide channel 2 before the spinning nozzle 4. The spinning start end of the yarn is formed on the yarn 5 in the guide channel 2, and the formation of a reserve yarn 5 is started in a negative pressure yarn storage device 73. Simultaneously with the formation of the spinning start end of the yarn 5, or before or after that, the winding of the yarn 5 onto a bobbin 90 is started. Before the reserve yarn 5 from the negative pressure yarn storage device 73 is used up, the withdrawal of the yarn 5 by a drawing mechanism 6 is started.
