PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous polymer metal complex formed of metal ions and a ligand and a method of forming powder or a film thereof, and also to provide a composite composed of a porous polymer metal complex film formed thereof.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a method of forming a composite having a porous polymer metal complex film on a metal plate that comprises: preparing a metal plate as a metal ion source; dissolving a ligand substance in an alcohol-based solution to prepare a ligand substance solution; putting the metal plate in the solution and thus causing the metal plate and ligand substance to react with each other to form the porous polymer metal complex film, represented as the following formula (1): [ML](where M, L, and n are defined in the specification); and stopping the reaction before the metal plate is all consumed by the reaction.SELECTED DRAWING: None
