PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tritium annihilation device and method capable of effectively annihilating tritium from tritium contamination water.SOLUTION: A tritium annihilation device is configured to cause a catalyst water generation device 1 to generate ceramic catalyst water, receive to treatment tanks 2A-2C tritium contamination mixed water obtained by mixing the ceramic catalyst water and tritium contamination water, and annihilate tritium with proton reaction; and is configured to cause a gas blow-in device 3 to blow air into the tritium contamination mixed water in the treatment tanks 2A-2C to accelerate the proton reaction, thereby enabling tritium to be effectively decomposed and annihilated from the tritium contamination water.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
