PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structured testing method for diagnostic or therapy support of a patient with a chronic disease and a device thereof.SOLUTION: A device 18 implements structured collection procedures based on a medical use case and/or medical question, providing parameters defining an entry criterion, a schedule of events, an adherence criterion, and an exit criterion. The entry criterion establishes conditions needed to be met prior to obtaining biomarker data from a patient 12. Each event in the schedule of events can include a performance time, guidance to perform the event, a request for information from the patient 12, a request for patient behaviors, and request for collecting biomarker data of a type from the patient 12. The adherence criterion is used to qualitatively evaluate whether the event implemented according to the schedule of events has provided data acceptable to cope with the medical use case and/or medical question.
