PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superconducting annular member of simple configuration and low resistance.;SOLUTION: A superconducting annular member 21 comprises a superconducting layer 30, and a protective layer 31 that covers the superconducting layer. The superconducting layer 30 is formed annular continuously over a whole circumference. The superconducting annular member 21 may also comprise a junction 33 to which both ends of a superconducting wire 25 including the superconducting layer 30 and the protective layer 31 are joined. Therefore, by utilizing the superconducting wire 25, the superconducting annular member 21 of which the resistance is reduced while making the configuration inexperience and simple. Further, a seamless cylindrical superconducting magnetic shield device may also be produced in accordance with a manufacturing method of spraying a superconducting material over a substrate.
