PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stability evaluation method of an excavated wall surface, the method that enables the stability evaluation of the excavated wall surface and the impact assessment to the peripheral ground and the existing underground structure due to the ground excavation, by using a shear strength reduction finite element method, when the excavated wall surface is present in proximity to the existing underground structure.SOLUTION: A stability evaluation method of an excavated wall surface is characterized by setting an analytic model based on a finite element method in an analyzed area comprising an existing underground structure and an excavated wall surface adjacent to this, and evaluating the stability of the excavated wall surface by a shear strength reduction finite element method.
