PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for easily estimating the corrosion of a duct at a site where the duct is laid.SOLUTION: A duct corrosion estimation method according to the present invention includes the steps of: connecting at least one set of opposing electrodes 10 to a floating body 20 that floats to a measurement liquid, and causing some of the electrodes 10 to protrude downward from the liquid level height of the measurement liquid when the floating body 20 floats; causing the floating body 20 to float in the measurement liquid and having some of the electrodes 10 exposed to the measurement liquid; applying an electric signal between at least the set of electrodes 10 and measuring impedance between at least the set of electrodes 10 from a response to the electric signal; calculating the polarization resistance of the electrodes 10 from the impedance; and estimating the corrosion of a duct 55 from the polarization resistance. The measurement liquid is a retained water inside a manhole 50 connected to the duct 55, and the electrodes 10 are formed with the same material as the duct 55.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
