PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide artificial soil particles which have high water retentivity, are excellent in durability, and are easy to handle.SOLUTION: An artificial soil particle 10 comprises a filler 11, a water absorbent polymer 14, and an elastic binder 15. The filler 11 is bonded via an elastic binder 15. An elastic binder 15 is arranged around the water-absorbing polymer 14. It is configured to generate tensile load in the elastic binder 15 when the water absorbent polymer 14 is in a wet state, and to reduce the tensile load in the elastic binder 15 when the water absorbent polymer 14 is in a dry state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
