MAGNETIC ESCAPE WHEEL SET FOR TIMEPIECES

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a geometry for an escape wheel set comprising ramps and barriers.SOLUTION: An escape wheel set 1 includes at least one magnetized track 10, with a succession of areas according to a scrolling period in which magnetic features are repeated, each of the areas including an increasing magnetic field ramp followed by a magnetic field barrier which has an increasing magnetic field and a field gradient higher than that of the ramp. The magnetized track 10 includes a continuous closed magnetic layer 4 over the entire periphery of the escape wheel set 1, the magnetic layer 4 having constant thickness and variable width, where the geometry the magnetic layer 4 defines the magnetic field ramps and the magnetic field barriers. The escape wheel set 1 cooperates with a sprung balance via a pivoting magnetic stop member 2 comprising a pole piece 20, and the pole piece 20 is arranged to cooperate alternately with an internal track 11 and an external track 12 of the magnetic layer 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
