PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an installation method for an underground heat exchanger showing a more superior heat exchanging efficiency and an underground heat exchanger structure at an underground heat utilization system using a horizontal type underground heat exchanger.SOLUTION: This invention relates to an installation method for a horizontal type underground heat exchanger 10 used at an underground heat utilization system comprising an installation space forming step for drilling ground G to form an installation space S for use in installing the underground heat exchanger 10; a hydrous layer forming step for forming a hydrous layer 20 including hydrous water absorption material and soil in the installation space S; and an underground heat exchanger installing step for arranging the hydrous layer 20 and the underground heat exchanger 10 while being contacted to each other within the installation space S. This invention further relates to an underground heat exchanging structure 1 including the horizontal type underground heat exchanger 10 buried in the underground and the hydrous layer 20 with hydrous water absorption material and soil where the underground heat exchanger 10 and the hydrous layer 20 are contacted to each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
