PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a liquid in a liquid accommodation part from mixing with the liquid in the adjacent liquid accommodation part due to movement of a magnetic particle in analyte measurements using analyte analysis cartridges.SOLUTION: An inspected substance detection method is configured to use an analyte analysis cartridge 100 having an analyte supplied to detect an inspected substance 41. The analyte analysis cartridge 100 comprises: a passage part 20 in which a gas phase space is present; and a plurality of liquid accommodation parts 10 that communicates with the passage part 20 through an opening part 12, in which the plurality of liquid accommodation parts 10 includes: a first liquid accommodation part 10a that accommodates a first liquid 11a including a magnetic particle 40, and a second liquid accommodation part 10b that accommodates a second liquid 11b including a labelled substance 42. The inspected substance detection method is configured to: sequentially transfer magnetic particle 40 to the plurality liquid accommodation part 10 via the gas phase space of the passage part 20; thereby cause the magnetic particle 40 to carry a composite of the inspected substance 41 and labelled substance 42; and detect the inspected substance 41 on the basis of the labelled substance 42 of the composite.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
