PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform reliable original assurance at a low cost.SOLUTION: An image formation apparatus comprises a color conversion unit 102 for converting color information on image data by using any of a color table 1 and a color table 2, the color table 1 being a table that is used in converting color information on the image data to color information for performing expression using a plurality of color materials and includes defined correspondence between colors before and after conversion, the color table 2 including defined correspondence between colors before and after the conversion differing from the correspondence of the color table 1. The color conversion unit 102 converts image data input for forming a text 51, by using the color table 1; and converts image data for forming an original assurance image 52 for assuring that the text 51 is the original, by using the color table 2. An engine unit C, on the basis of image data obtained by the color conversion unit 102 performing conversion using the color table 2, forms the original assurance image 52 on a recording material P.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
