PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a locus from being discontinuous in the case of creating a locus image by performing comparison bright synthesis on long-second exposure images, in a mode for imaging a starry sky using the locus.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus includes: imaging means for converting an optical image to an electric signal; exposure control means for controlling an amount of exposure of the imaging means; and starry sky imaging mode selection means for selecting a mode for imaging a starry sky. A starry sky imaging mode includes: a mode for creating a picture by performing one-time imaging on the starry sky; and a mode for creating a final picture by synthesizing pictures obtained by imaging the starry sky a plurality of times. The exposure control means sets a shutter time in seconds per one time in the mode for performing imaging the plurality of times so that the shutter time is shorter than a shutter time in seconds in the mode for creating a picture by performing one-time imaging.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
