PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an MRI apparatus including a pulse sequence generation device capable of easily generating a pulse sequence by setting imaging conditions.SOLUTION: A layer storage part 31 stores a relation between a plurality of imaging conditions capable of being input into at least one imaging parameter of a plurality of imaging parameters and a plurality of layers to which prescribed priority orders are given. A sequence layout calculation part 34 selects at least one layer corresponding to the imaging conditions received by a receiving part on te basis of the relation in the layer storage part 31, and superimposes the selected layers according to the priority order. A pulse arranged to the layer having a higher priority order is selected when there is a plurality of pulses where application timing and application axes overlap on each other in the plurality of layers. According to such a process, a pulse sequence showing a pulse arrangement in the application timing in relation to the plurality of application axes is generated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
