PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To clarify the meaning of a character string to be registered.SOLUTION: The meaning information registration support program causes a computer to execute a series of processing, including the steps of: displaying an input first character string; referring to a storage part storing plural types of character strings each being associated with the same character string; identifying plural types of character strings which are stored being associated with character strings coincide with the input first character string; displaying a prompt to select which character string in the plural types of character strings should be associated with the first character string; and when any character string is selected from the plural types of character strings, registering the selected character string as a piece of annotation information of the first character string without changing the display of the displayed first character string to the selected character string.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
