PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a terminal connected via a network to easily edit a picture including variant characters and simply display the picture on another terminal.SOLUTION: A system comprises a font file 34 in which variant characters are assigned to and registered with an external character region, a character dictionary database 31 including a general category list 31a in which variant characters are arranged following their original characters, and WEB service design means 22 which provides a terminal 11 with an image editing environment, and displays the variant characters on a terminal 11 in the order of arrangement in the general category list 31a to make them selectable, and stores a character selected by input as an image file 33 extracted from the font file 34, and stores a picture in which the character is registered as an image.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
