PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for synthesizing DOPO derivatives having high heat resistance and excellent flame retardancy and used for epoxy resin compositions, composite materials comprising the derivatives, and a method for producing high-frequency circuit boards with the composite materials.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a method for producing DOPO derivative compounds, the compounds prepared by the dehydration reaction of a compound (B) represented by the following formula, and alkylene glycol, dialkylene glycol and the like, in the presence of a catalyst, a codistillation agent, and a solvent, and at 1-6 atmospheric pressure and at 150-220°C [Rand Rare H, an alkyl group, an aryl group or a heterocyclic substituent (sites on the substituent group that does not react with an alcoholic hydroxyl group)].SELECTED DRAWING: None
