PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods of producing vascular endothelial growth factor production promoting agents and hair growth agents which can improve or prevent disorders generated in blood vessels without few risks of side effects by promoting the production of a vascular endothelial growth factor, as well as to provide vascular endothelial growth factor production promoting agents and hair-growth agents.;SOLUTION: A production method comprises: recovering the placenta from a birthing mammal (step S1); transferring it in a cool-resistant container and sealing the container and subsequently freezing (steps S2 and S3); then sufficiently melting the frozen placenta (step S4); subsequently obtaining a molten liquid by solid-liquid separation (step S5); increasing the temperature of the molten liquid to an appropriate temperature of 50°C or more to 80°C or less to perform heat treatment (Step S6); then cooling the molten liquid to a temperature of 10°C or less (step S7); subsequently adding 99.9 volume% of ethanol to the molten liquid so as to be 10 mass% or more to 50 mass% or less (step S8); and subsequently standing for a sufficient time to recover the supernatant (step S9).;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2017,JPO&INPIT
