PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal/resin composite structure which is formed by strongly joining and sticking a thermoplastic resin to a steel member and has a steel portion with high rust prevention ability, and a method for producing the same, and a nickel plated steel member to which the thermoplastic resin can be strongly joined and stuck and which is excellent in rust prevention ability, and a method for producing the same.;SOLUTION: The metal/resin composite structure 106 of the present invention is a metal/resin composite structure formed by joining a nickel plated steel member 108 on which a nickel plating layer 107 is formed to cover a part or all of a surface 110 of a steel member 103 to a thermoplastic resin member 105 comprised of a thermoplastic resin or a resin composition containing the thermoplastic resin.
