PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a UFS device operation method that automatically detects a situation at a time of occurrence of the situation in which data cannot be transmitted through a link, and can trigger a warm reset to a UFS device depending on the detection result.SOLUTION: An operation method of a UFS device having a structure of communicating with a UFS host through a link includes the stages of: causing the UFS device to communicate with the UFS host through a link; causing the UFS device to determine whether warm reset to the link is necessary or not; and causing the UFS device to operate as an initiator of warn reset if it is determined that warm reset is necessary.
