PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bare plain weft knitted fabric which prevents the occurrence of moire in the knitted fabric itself, and which does not impair the feeling and the stretchability of the knitted fabric.SOLUTION: A bare plain weft knitted fabric (1) includes elastic yarns (3) and polyester multifilament crimped yarns (2 and 4). The elastic yarns (3) are bare yarns and knitted so as to be aligned parallel with the polyester multifilament crimped yarns. The polyester multifilament crimped yarns are constituted by crimped yarns (2) to which S-twist torque is applied and crimped yarns (4) to which Z-twist torque is applied. The crimped yarns (2) to which the S-twist torque is applied and the crimped yarns (4) to which the Z-twist torque is applied are alternately arranged in knit rows in a lateral direction. As a result, the torque of the S-twist crimped yarns and the torque of the Z-twist crimped yarns are cancelled out in the knitted fabric, so that the occurrence of moire in the knitted fabric itself is prevented.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
