PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber surface plasmon resonance sensor manufacturing method capable of forming a metallic thin film of a proper thickness for inducing a surface Plasmon resonance, on the surface of the core of an optical fiber of a columnar shape.;SOLUTION: An optical fiber surface plasmon resonance sensor manufacturing method is characterized by comprising: the step of exposing the core 201 of one end portion 250 of an optical fiber 200 to the outside; the step of dipping one end portion 250 containing the exposed core 201 into an electroless plating solution 101; the step of injecting a light in the direction to the one end portion 250 from a light source 103 thereby to measure the intensity of the reflected light reflected from the one end portion 250, by a spectrometer 104; and the step of pulling up the one end portion 250 from the electroless plating solution 101 at the time when the intensity of the reflected light measured reaches a predetermined value.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2017,JPO&INPIT
