PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a location base service providing method capable of automatically setting a mobile terminal on the basis of the mobile terminal location determined using cell information, and a system.SOLUTION: A location base service providing method executed by a location base service providing system includes the steps of: receiving the associated location information from a mobile terminal at the location to which user settings are to be applied; associating the location information with user setting information at the location to which the user settings are to be applied and storing the associated information in a location information database; receiving at least one information for checking the location of the mobile terminal from the mobile terminal; determining the location information matching the at least one information in the location information database as the current location of the mobile terminal; and changing the settings of the mobile terminal to the user settings when the current location of the mobile terminal matches the location registered in advance to apply the user settings.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
