PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make possible dynamic responses to horizontal variations in a phased array radar system by improving software, instead of hardware, to secure horizontal accuracy thereby to reduce the cost and mass of the radar device to make work man-hours and special skills for horizontal adjustment unnecessary.;SOLUTION: On the basis of misalignment of the horizontal plane in the coordinate system of the device's own standard relative to the horizontal plane in the coordinate system of the global standard, (1) first a radar scanner 22 simulates the horizontal scanning direction in the coordinate system of the global standard by appropriately setting the horizontal scanning direction in the coordinate system of the device's own standard, and (2) next a coordinate converter 23 converts, regarding received radar signals, the elevation angle and the azimuth angle of the coordinate system of the device's own standard into the elevation angle and the azimuth angle of the coordinate system of the global standard.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2017,JPO&INPIT
