PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material which can form a protection film with low contact resistance on the surface of a base material used for SOFC current collectors and others.SOLUTION: A ternary nanoparticle 100 has a core 10 comprising nickel elements and copper elements, and a shell 20 comprising cobalt elements that covers the core 10. The core 10 has a center region 10a high in copper element concentration and a surrounding region 10b high in nickel element concentration. The shell 20 is mainly composed of cobalt elements, and the shell 20 may have nickel elements and copper elements diffused therein.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
