PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that power generation output of a solar cell array configured by connecting solar cell modules may become a high voltage of DC hundreds V and if a building in which such a solar cell array is installed is on fire, since the solar cell array is generating a high voltage in the daytime, there is the risk that a fire fighter may get an electric shock during water discharge work for firefighting but, although a system in which a device for reducing the output voltage of the solar cell array in the case of fire is integrated is being advocated as countermeasures but dedicated equipment such as fire detection means may be required and further, a wiring construction may be complicated.SOLUTION: A photovoltaic power generation system comprises: a plurality of cable rub switches between solar cell modules installed in a cable run between solar cell modules; and connection control means for controlling a connection between solar cell modules in accordance with a state of a system power source. The connection control means controls a cable run switch between solar cell modules on a first stage and then successively controls cable rn switches between solar cell modules on next and subsequent stages in a dizzy chain manner.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
