PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To calculate a high-precision differential pressure prediction value relating to an air preheater even with a little data collection amount and to easily grasp a progress degree relating to a clogging state of the air preheater.SOLUTION: An abnormality discrimination device comprises: an air preheater 18 for preheating air for combustion; an air temperature sensor 26 for detecting a temperature of air flowing into the air preheater; a differential pressure sensor 28 for measuring an actual differential pressure between pressure of air flowing into the air preheater and pressure of air flowing out of the air preheater; a keyboard 64 for inputting an upper limit air temperature representing an upper limit of a prediction range relating to the temperature of air flowing into the air preheater; a control part 52 for calculating differential pressure prediction value data representing a time change of the differential pressure of air flowing into the air preheater by substituting an upper limit air temperature T, an air temperature reference value Trepresenting an air temperature on a certain reference day and a differential pressure reference value ΔPrepresenting the differential pressure on the reference day to a long-term prediction formula (1); and a control part for discriminating abnormality of the air preheater by comparing the differential pressure prediction value data with a predetermined management value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
