PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for numerically analyzing a structure by a finite element method using a computer, capable of collectively setting a coordinate system of each element to a group of at least a certain number of elements or a groups of elements of the approximately entire structure when a structure consisting of an anisotropic material and including a curved surface shape is an object to be analyzed.SOLUTION: The method comprises the steps of: setting a Z-axis in a direction specified by a user to a structure; setting a R axis orthogonal to the Z-axis toward the center of each element and a θ axis orthogonal to the Z-axis and the R axis; setting a P axis obtained by projecting one specified by the user out of the Z, R and θ axes to the bottom surface of the element and a Q axis obtained by rotating at an angle specified by the user around a H axis normal to the bottom surface of the element; and setting the H axis, the Q axis and an S axis orthogonal thereto as the coordinate system of each element.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
