PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To possibly extend life of a refuse incinerator that uses thermocouples 20 and 30 with a protective tube for measuring temperature in a refuse incinerator furnace 1 without providing special heat resistive measures with the thermocouples 20 and 30 with a protective tube.SOLUTION: A refuse incinerator includes thermocouples 20 and 30 that are installed on a wall section of a refuse incinerator furnace l for combusting dumped garbage and whose detectors 21 and 31 for detecting temperature in the refuse incinerator furnace 1 are buried in a protective tube, and actuators 40 and 50 for moving the detectors 21 and 31 of the thermocouples 20 and 30 with a protective tube between a measuring object area in the refuse incinerator furnace 1 and outside thereof.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
