Regenerative power capture system for endless truck escalators and moving walkways

Power is restored from the escalator or moving walkway as the step goes around the endless track path at the roller. A generator is connected to a roller that goes around the track. A backup battery is provided. Electric power is used for emergency lighting of the steps and data transmission. Advertisements and messages are displayed on a step-mounted dynamic video screen. Most of the equipment is housed in the escalator steps. The information is wirelessly communicated to the remote central control station and returned to the step to display information and update advertisements in real time while the escalator is in operation. The central control station also monitors performance parameters. The visual display includes LED lighting. [Selection] Figure 9
