PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide substituted aliphane, cyclophane, hetera-phane, hetero-phane, hetero-hetera-phane and metallocene that are useful as antiviral agents.SOLUTION: The present disclosure provides substituted aliphane, cyclophane, hetera-phane, hetero-phane, hetero-hetera-phane and metallocene of the formula (I) D-M-D (Formula I) useful as an antiviral agent. In certain embodiments disclosed herein, M in formula I is a group -PAP-, in which A is a specific substituted aliphane, cyclophane, hetera-phane, hetero-phane, hetero-hetera-phane and metallocene, and disclosed herein are potent and/or selective inhibitor of viral replication, especially hepatitis C virus replication. A pharmaceutical composition/pharmaceutical combination comprising one kind or more substituted aliphane, cyclophane, hetera-phane, hetero-phane, hetero-hetera-phane and metallocene, and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier is also provided by the present disclosure.
