PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel optical network-on-chip system using a non-block photoset including a control unit and a path set mechanism.;SOLUTION: A network-on-chip comprises: an optical communication network including a plurality of photo-switches interconnected via a bidirectional waveguide; and an electric control network including a plurality of electric routers interconnected via an electric wire and a control function for path setting. A path setup control packet requesting a wavelength resource on the bidirectional waveguide is continuously sent from a source node through the electric wire to the plurality of electric routers. If the requested wavelength resource is possible, each of the electric routers turns on a corresponding photo-switch and when the photo-switch is turned on, the photo-switch sends an ACK signal through the bidirectional waveguide to the source node.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3;COPYRIGHT: (C)2017,JPO&INPIT
