A method of protecting rice from pest development and attack comprises contacting rice with a synergistically effective amount of a pest control composition comprising spinetoram and methoxyphenozide. The pest control composition comprises methoxyphenozide in an amount of at least 3 parts by weight per 1 part by weight of spinetoram.
