PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods and kits for discriminating between breast cancer and benign breast disease.SOLUTION: Provided are a method and a kit for discriminating breast cancer from benign breast disease by determining the expression level of at least one target gene comprising a nucleic acid sequence selected from specified nucleic acid sequences to obtain an expression profile of a patient, and by comparing the obtained expression profile of the patient with expression profiles of the target gene(s) derived from patients previously clinically classified as breast cancer and expression profiles of the target gene(s) derived from patients previously clinically classified as benign breast disease.SELECTED DRAWING: None
